Cyient DLM, a design-led manufacturing company, has expanded its strategic partnership with Deutsche Aircraft, a German regional aircraft manufacturer. The multi-year collaboration will involve Cyient DLM in the design, development, and manufacturing of the Cabin Management System (CMS) for the D328eco, a next-generation 40-seater turboprop aircraft. This project represents a significant milestone for both companies, as it will be one of Deutsche Aircraft’s first electronics programs entirely designed and manufactured in India, aligning with the Make in India initiative.
The CMS system for the D328eco features a user-friendly touchscreen interface, enabling crew members and passengers to control functions such as cabin lighting, passenger signs, and lavatory operations. With a focus on passenger comfort, the system allows the adjustment of lighting intensity, supporting various activities like working in-flight or promoting rest.
Leveraging aerospace expertise, Cyient DLM and Cyient aim to create an advanced, scalable, and modular CMS solution, using cutting-edge displays and control electronics to enhance safety and user experience. This partnership is a notable achievement for the Indian aerospace ecosystem, showcasing its ability to develop and certify advanced aerospace products.
Anthony Montalbano, CEO of Cyient DLM, highlighted the importance of the partnership, stating, “Our expanded collaboration with Deutsche Aircraft reflects our shared commitment to advancing aerospace innovation.”
Nico Neumann, Co-CEO of Deutsche Aircraft, also emphasized the significance of the partnership, noting that the CMS would be a first for this class of aircraft, contributing to the modernization and efficiency of the D328eco.
The initiative underscores Cyient DLM’s leadership in both the Indian and European aerospace sectors, positioning the company as a key player in the development of next-generation aviation technology.
